Rocksteady Studios, the developer behind Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League, has launched Season 4 Episode 8, marking the final major content update for the live-service game. Released in February 2024 to mostly negative reviews, the game's support will end on January 14, 2025, with the latest patch now downloadable on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC.
Despite the promising premise, the unexpected live-service elements contributed to the game's swift decline. Just ten months after its launch, Rocksteady announced on December 9, 2024, that Season 4 Episode 8 would be the last content update. While no new content will be developed post-January 14, 2025, the game's online features will remain accessible, allowing players to continue enjoying Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League with friends.
Following a brief server downtime, the final content update for Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League has been released. Players on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC can now dive into Season 4 Episode 8: Balance. This update introduces the Libra-themed Infamy Set, new Notorious weapons, and a concluding Mayhem mission against Brainiac. Additionally, the patch includes significant bug fixes and gameplay adjustments, such as reduced XP requirements for Squad Levels.
Although the game's servers will continue to operate post-Season 4 Episode 8, the December update (Season 4 Episode 7) introduced an offline mode, allowing players to access all content, including main and seasonal story missions, without an internet connection. While Rocksteady hasn't announced plans to shut down the servers entirely, this offline feature ensures continued playability.
For those who missed out on Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League, the game is now available on PlayStation Plus until February 3, alongside The Stanley Parable: Ultra Deluxe and Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit Remastered.
