Tribe Nine Ends EOS Service Shortly After Global Launch

Akatsuki Games has officially announced the end of service (EOS) for their recently launched action RPG, *Tribe Nine*. The game first became available on Android, iOS, and PC (Steam) just a few months ago in February 2025 — so why is it shutting down so soon? Let’s break down the details and explore what’s behind this unexpected move.

When Is the Tribe Nine End of Service?

The final day for *Tribe Nine* will be **November 27th, 2025**. Along with the shutdown announcement, Akatsuki Games confirmed that **Chapter 4 of the main story will not be released**, despite earlier teasers hinting at major upcoming plot developments. This comes as a significant letdown for fans who were eagerly anticipating the next chapter.

As of **May 15th, 2025**, all future updates, including new features, content releases, and bug fixes, have been officially cancelled. Any in-game announcements regarding adjustments or new content are now void.

Additionally, two previously announced characters — **Ichinosuke Akiba** and **Saizo Akiba** — will no longer be added to the game. Their absence marks another lost promise for the player base.

Players who spent real money on in-game currency — **Enigma Entities** — for items such as **Armed Support**, **Advanced Support**, and the **Support Contract – Revenio** will receive refunds once the Revenio contract period ends. However, purchases of Enigma Entities and Daily Passes are now disabled across both the app and web store. Players can still use any existing Enigma Entities until the full service shutdown on November 27th.

Why Did Tribe Nine Fail So Quickly?

Tribe Nine was marketed as a free-to-play extreme action RPG featuring a bold visual style and deep worldbuilding. While the game had its merits, several key issues likely contributed to its early demise.

One of the biggest drawbacks was its **slow content rollout**, offering only one story chapter and a single event every three months. This lack of consistent engagement made it hard for players to stay invested long-term.

Moreover, the game didn’t provide strong incentives for monetization. Players could build competitive teams from just a single gacha pull, and duplicate units weren’t necessary for progression. While this was great for players, it may have hurt revenue sustainability for the developers.

Despite these challenges, *Tribe Nine* remains playable until **November 27th, 2025**. If you haven't given it a try yet, you can still download it from the [Google Play Store](#) or [App Store](#).
