Coming in 2025, World of Warcraft will finally introduce its highly anticipated player housing system, with Blizzard recently revealing initial details. The developers confirm that homes will be accessible to all players—no complicated prerequisites, exorbitant costs, or lottery systems will apply. Houses will remain permanently available regardless of subscription status. The full housing experience launches with the Midnight expansion.
Upon release, players can select residential plots in either of two faction-themed zones: Alliance territories featuring Elwynn Forest blended with Westfall and Duskwood elements, or Horde lands combining Durotar with influences from Azshara and coastal Durotar.
Each zone will feature multiple residential districts containing approximately 50 houses each. Gamers can choose between open neighborhoods or private communities shared with guildmates and friends. Extensive customization options will be available—most obtainable through gameplay, with select decorative items offered via the in-game shop.
Blizzard highlights three core housing design philosophies: deep personalization, social connectivity, and lasting value. While further details will emerge later, the team currently invites player feedback on this evolving feature.
