Devil's Purge Goes Free-to-Play, Expands Soundtrack

Author: Grace May 02,2025

During my trip to Portugal last year, I had the pleasure of experiencing one of the most thrilling upcoming games, Devil's Purge. Developed by Ontop, this augmented reality (AR) shooter immerses you in a world where you battle demons and the devil himself, all accompanied by a pulsating heavy metal soundtrack.

If you've been holding off on trying Devil's Purge, now is the perfect time to dive in. The game is receiving a major update that not only expands its already electrifying soundtrack but also shifts to a free-to-play model!

Inspired by its spiritual predecessor Doom, Devil's Purge adopts a shareware approach. This means you can try out the initial levels of its expansive 60+ level roster completely free. If you're hooked, you have the option to unlock the full game with a purchase.

In Devil's Purge, you're not just standing still and shooting. You'll need to actively move to dodge enemy attacks and reveal their weak spots, making for a dynamic and engaging gameplay experience. This isn't your typical AR game like Pokemon Go; the demons make that clear!

Blast 'em!With this latest update, Devil's Purge introduces a host of new tracks to its brutal soundtrack, featuring music from independent metal artists such as Avesso, Visceral, Zero Massive, Tales for the Unspoken, and many others. Coupled with a new combat system that allows you to customize your equipment from the start using resources from previous sessions, there's no better time to jump into the fray and take on the forces of Hell!

The shift to free-to-play begins today, and you can find Devil's Purge on the iOS App Store. Start blasting the forces of Hell now!
