Diablo 4 players have unearthed a groundbreaking infinite damage build that's causing server lag. Dive into the details of this game-changing strategy and the fan concerns surrounding the Berserk collaboration.
Diablo 4 Latest Updates
Infinite Damage Build Boss Powers Makes Servers Lag
Diablo 4's latest season introduces new seasonal boss powers that, when combined correctly, can create an infinite damage build that also slows down the game's servers. YouTuber Macrobioboi shared a video on May 9 demonstrating this potent build, which annihilates a room full of enemies using specific boss powers and a Legendary Aspect.
To execute this build, players must equip the Vampiric Curse Legendary Aspect, which inflicts a Vulnerable status effect on enemies, boosting damage and ensuring the effect lasts until the enemy's demise.
Additionally, the Flesh Reaper's Disruption boss power stuns enemies but typically removes the Vulnerable status. However, due to Vampiric Curse's persistent effect, the stun repeats indefinitely. To complete the build, Varshan's Life Steal boss power inflicts massive damage each time a boss power is activated.
The combination of these elements results in numerous calculations that strain the servers, causing lag. As seen in wudijo’s YouTube video, the screen is overwhelmed with skills and abilities, leaving enemies perpetually stunned. Wudijo remarked, "There are a lot of calculations going on; it's very understandable that this is a laggy build."
Blizzard Entertainment has yet to address this resource-intensive build, allowing players to continue using it to defeat hordes of enemies at the cost of increased lag.
Worrying Prices with Berserk Collab
In other news, Diablo 4 is collaborating with the iconic manga Berserk, introducing themed cosmetics and items. However, the high prices of these sets are causing fans to hesitate.
While players can earn Behelits through gameplay and use them in the free Berserk Reliquary, the premium offerings are where the collaboration truly shines. Here are the free cosmetics available:
- Hawks Destiny Back Trophy
- Skull Knight’s Heraldry Mount Armor
- Brand of Sacrifice Marking
- Foretold Eclipse Headstone
- Od of the Berserker Emblem
The premium sets, purchasable with Diablo 4’s premium currency, include iconic armors and sets from Berserk:
- The Berserker Armor, Barbarian - 2,800 Platinum
- The Hawk of Light, Rogue - 2,800 Platinum
- The Struggler, Rogue - 2,800 Platinum
- The Skull Knight, Necromancer - 2,800 Platinum
- The Schnoz, Pet Bundle - 2,800 Platinum
- Warhorse of the Hawk, Mount and Mount Armor - 2,500 Platinum
Each premium skin costs around $28, which is nearly half the price of the base game. Acquiring all sets would require a $150, or 15,000 Platinum bundle, which includes an additional 3,500 Platinum.
The pricing follows a similar pattern seen in Diablo 4’s collaboration with World of Warcraft, suggesting that future collaborations may also demand significant investments. Despite the high quality of the Berserk sets, the steep prices are causing many fans to reconsider their purchases.
