Tom Clancy's The Division 2 has officially kicked off its third season of year six, titled "Burden of Truth." This season promises to immerse agents even deeper into the gripping narrative, as they embark on a mission to track down Kelso across Washington, D.C., guided by her enigmatic clues. Players will unravel more about Lau's recruitment process and delve into the mysterious "Cassandra" mission.
A highlight of this season is the innovative Rogue Momentum system, designed to enhance the thrill of combat by promoting aggressive playstyles. As players take down enemies and complete combat challenges, they accumulate momentum. While regular kills provide a modest increase, the system rewards players more generously for critical hits, skill combinations, multi-kills, and defeating elite foes, rapidly boosting the momentum meter. As momentum builds, agents gain access to enhanced abilities, including faster movement, reduced reload times, increased damage output, and heightened firing speeds. When the momentum reaches its peak, the Overcharge feature activates, significantly reducing ability cooldowns.
Alongside these dynamic combat changes, "Burden of Truth" introduces an array of new weapons and gear. Players who own the Warlords of New York DLC and the Year 1 Pass benefit from an expanded inventory, gaining an additional 50 slots. Standout additions to the arsenal include the exotic SMG Oxpecker and the tactical Exodus gloves. Two new brands, Refactor and Shiny Monkey, offer fresh gear options, while named weapons such as the Rusty Classic RPK-74 and Goalie FAL come with unique talents that allow players to fine-tune their builds. Available on all platforms, Ubisoft is keen to gather player feedback to continuously improve future updates.
