Supergiant Games has unleashed the highly anticipated Olympic Update for Hades 2, promising significant gameplay enhancements and a wealth of new content. The developers plan to actively monitor player feedback to refine the update's impact. This major update introduces a new area, weapon, characters, and familiars, significantly expanding the game's already impressive scope.

Key additions in this substantial update include:

Currently in early access on PC (with a full release and console launch slated for next year), Hades 2 has earned praise for its engaging gameplay and substantial content. The Olympic Update further enhances this, adding considerable playtime with expanded dialogue and the introduction of Olympus, the legendary realm of the Greek gods and Zeus's throne.

Hades 2 Olympic Update Features New Characters, Weapons, Mount Olympus and More! The update also refines existing mechanics. Melinoe's abilities, including Witch's Staff Specials, Sister Blades, Umbral Flames, and Moonstone Axe, have been overhauled for improved player control. Her dash is now faster and more responsive, enabling quicker escapes from attacks. However, the increased power of Melinoe is matched by a significant boost in enemy difficulty.

The addition of Mount Olympus introduces new enemies, including Wardens and a formidable Guardian. Existing Surface enemies have also received adjustments:

⚫︎ Chronos: Reduced downtime between phases; minor adjustments made. ⚫︎ Eris: Various adjustments; no longer prone to standing in flames. ⚫︎ Infernal Beast: Faster resurfacing after the first phase; minor adjustments. ⚫︎ Polyphemus: No longer summons Elite foes; other minor adjustments. ⚫︎ Charybdis: Fewer phases; more intense attacks and reduced downtime. ⚫︎ Headmistress Hecate: Loses invulnerability sooner after her Sisters of the Dead are defeated. ⚫︎ Ranged Enemies: Reduced simultaneous attacks. ⚫︎ Various other minor enemy and combat adjustments.
