BASE is an innovative educational app that harnesses the excitement of football to enhance learning within school environments. Designed as a partner tool for teachers, BASE transforms daily classroom activities by integrating play-based learning, allowing children to absorb the same educational content through engaging gameplay. The app's initial phase introduces a sports-themed structure, dividing the game into three seasons reminiscent of professional sports tournaments. Each season is further segmented into four competitive levels: Regional, National, Continental, and World, alongside a Pre-Season. These tournaments vary in the number and difficulty of questions, which are framed as matches, adding an element of competition and fun to the learning process.
BASE employs gamification techniques to maintain and boost student engagement, rewarding participants with coins, points, and trophies. This approach not only makes learning more enjoyable but also motivates children to continue their educational journey through the app.
Developed collaboratively by the Vini.Jr Institute team and the faculty of the Paulo Reglus Neves Freire Municipal School, BASE's content is meticulously crafted to align with the early years of Elementary School (1st to 5th grade), catering to children aged 6 to 10. By leveraging the universal appeal of sports, specifically football, and integrating advanced technology, BASE aims to make education more accessible and engaging. All questions within the app adhere to the guidelines of the National Common Curricular Base (BNCC), ensuring that the educational content remains relevant and beneficial to the students' academic growth.
