Unlocking the True Shu Ending in Dynasty Warriors: Origins

To access the true ending for Liu Bei's Shu faction in Dynasty Warriors: Origins, you must first complete the main Shu campaign. This unlocks the ability to replay stages, and you'll notice a golden banner next to "The Battle of Changban." This signifies an alternate scenario.

Typically, this battle involves escorting Liu Bei to safety while Zhang Fei defends the bridge. However, for the true ending, you must defeat Cao Cao himself. This is a challenging task, requiring you to overcome Cao Cao's army largely solo, embodying the series' iconic "1 vs. 1000" battles. If Liu Bei falls before Cao Cao is defeated, you'll need to restart.

To increase your chances of success:

1. Reduce the difficulty: Set the game to Historian mode. The sheer number of enemies makes this battle significantly easier on a lower difficulty.

2. Choose your partner wisely: Select Zhang Fei as your partner. This places you closer to Cao Cao's forces at the start, saving valuable time.

3. Master the Musou Rage: Prepare your Musou Rage meter before engaging Cao Cao's main forces. You'll face two Grand Tactics: eliminating two officers and defeating 250 soldiers. A weapon like twin pikes is highly recommended for the latter.

Once Cao Cao's army is routed, defeating him should be relatively straightforward. After this pivotal battle, only a few more missions remain before you reach the Shu true ending.
