Stalker 2: Heart of Chornobyl boasts a diverse arsenal, allowing players to tailor their loadout to their preferred combat style. Beyond standard firearms, unique weapon variants with enhanced stats and modifications exist, such as the Cavalier sniper rifle. This distinctive weapon features a red-dot sight instead of a traditional scope, making it exceptionally effective at close to medium ranges. Here's how to acquire this powerful rifle.
Acquiring the Cavalier Sniper Rifle
The Cavalier is located within the Duga base, specifically in a warehouse adjacent to the Military Unit. This warehouse connects to a greenhouse. You might already be familiar with this area if you previously retrieved the Journalist's stash. Use the secondary entrance for easy access.
Accessing the Warehouse
Upon entering the Duga base, navigate towards the Military Unit building (as indicated on your map). Circumvent the building to reach the greenhouse at its rear. Be wary of two Pseudogiants patrolling this area; they're hostile and will attack on sight. Proceed cautiously to avoid confrontation.
Once inside the greenhouse, enter the connected warehouse. Prepare for a swarm of rats upon entry; they'll inflict damage quickly. Utilize the elevated green platforms at the warehouse's rear to gain a tactical advantage and avoid the rodent infestation. Consider using a grenade to eliminate the rats efficiently.
Retrieving the Cavalier
After clearing the rats, examine the warehouse ceiling above the greenhouse entrance. You'll notice yellow-painted wooden boards. Shoot these boards with your weapon; the Cavalier sniper rifle will drop down.
Retrieve the weapon and exit the Duga base safely. The Cavalier can be further upgraded by Screw, the technician stationed at Rostok base. Its high damage and accuracy, further enhanced through upgrades and modifications, make it a formidable weapon. The red-dot sight makes it ideal for players who prefer a scope-less sniper rifle experience, proving effective in close-to-medium range engagements.
