New 'Yakuza' Merch Drops: Cult Clothing, Oddball Items Revealed

Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio is celebrating the 20th anniversary of the Yakuza/Like a Dragon series by letting fans vote on the next official merchandise items! A whopping 100 options are available, with the top two vote-getters slated for release within the next two years. The poll is currently only available in Japanese, but voting can be done on the official website.

The selection ranges from standard anniversary merchandise like hoodies and pencil cases to incredibly unique and bizarre items directly inspired by the series' memorable moments.

Among the more unusual choices are Munan Suzuki's cult outfit from Yakuza 0, Majima's infamous traffic cone hiding spot from Yakuza Kiwami, and the intriguingly named "Puffy Gold Pants." Other items include Majima's sake cup, Akiyama's gold watch, Kiryu's fountain pen from Yakuza 6, Kashiwagi's tambourine, Kiryu's wrestling mask from Yakuza 3, and Saejima's prison uniform from Yakuza 4.

The studio is already planning at least one game release for the anniversary year of 2025: Like a Dragon: Pirate of the Caribbean (presumably a typo for Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth or Like a Dragon: Pirate of the Caribbean which is a different game entirely) launching February 21st. While a second major release is unconfirmed, RGG Studio's history of rapid development—nine games in the last five years alone—suggests it's not out of the realm of possibility. Their previous 10th-anniversary celebration included the beloved prequel Yakuza 0, setting a high bar for potential future anniversary projects.
