The journey from script to screen for Daredevil: Born Again involved numerous revisions, but surprisingly, one episode remained completely unchanged: Episode 5—which, ironically, happens to be star Charlie Cox's "least favorite" of the season.
"Not sure if this is interesting, but among all the changes, there was one episode we didn’t alter at all," Cox revealed in a recent Playlist interview.
"It’s the bank heist episode, which was part of the original shoot before the strikes. That script stayed intact—though personally, it wasn’t my favorite."
Cox admitted he "pushed back against it as much as I could." The episode centers on Matt Murdock (aka Daredevil) getting entangled in a bank robbery while securing a loan for his law firm with partners Foggy Nelson (Elden Henson) and Karen Page (Deborah Ann Woll).
"It felt like a '70s premise to me," Cox explained. "The tech nowadays makes that scenario unlikely, and I didn’t think the heist’s execution was plausible enough."

Despite his reservations, Cox acknowledged that many fans loved the episode:
"I argued against it, but ironically, so many viewers tell me it’s their favorite. Just goes to show how subjective storytelling is," he said. "Internal ratings even list it as one of Disney+’s top-performing Marvel episodes."
Critics agreed—our Daredevil: Born Again Episodes 5 and 6 review praised it: "Flawlessly executed. Rarely has a Marvel series delivered such consistent delight, keeping us engrossed start to finish. Most importantly, it reminds us why Matt Murdock shines as a hero—suit or no suit."
