Remedy Unveils Latest Game Development Projects

According to Remedy's annual report, Control 2 has successfully passed the concept validation stage and has moved into full production. This is a significant milestone, confirming that the project is advancing steadily. With an estimated budget of 50 million euros, Control 2 is set to be self-published by the studio and will be released on Xbox Series, PS5, and PC platforms, offering gamers a thrilling next-gen experience.

In addition to Control 2, two other exciting projects are in active development: FBC: Firebreak and the remakes of Max Payne 1+2. Just a year ago, these games were only in the preparation phase for production, but they have now advanced to the next stage, demonstrating Remedy's commitment to bringing innovative titles to the market. FBC: Firebreak has a budget of 30 million euros and will be available on PlayStation and Xbox subscription services upon release, as well as on Steam and the Epic Games Store. Meanwhile, the budget for the Max Payne 1+2 remakes remains undisclosed, but they are confirmed to be AAA-level games, with development and marketing fully funded by Rockstar Games.

However, the project Kestrel, which was being developed in collaboration with Tencent, has been removed from the studio's plans. It was canceled in May of last year, marking a shift in Remedy's development strategy.

All these projects are being developed using the studio's proprietary engine, Northlight, which has already proven its effectiveness in games like Alan Wake 2 and other Remedy projects. Utilizing Northlight ensures that each game will deliver high-quality visuals and gameplay, further solidifying Remedy's reputation for excellence in the gaming industry.
